What is the trekking route of Maila Bagh?

The trekking route of Maila Bagh is partially the same as the Papad Ke Hanuman Ji trek which I have covered in one of the blog posts.

The trek starts from the back side of the Papad Ke Hanumanji Temple and the trail is clearly visible. As You walk for 1 Km you will come across a sand slope, going straight from the slope will take you to the point where you will find an abandoned dam with a rocky patch. You have to cross that dam and you will find the trail which passes through dense forest and stream of water.

The trail is straight forward and you have to keep walking for at least 3 KM to reach the Maila Bagh. The trek takes you through dense forests, rocky terrain, and lush green meadows. The journey is full of surprises, as you come across several streams, waterfalls, and bird species along the way.

My Experience of Maila Bagh Trek?

I got to know about this trek from the internet and since then I was excited to explore this hidden gem in Jaipur. In the past couple of months, I have covered some beautiful and amazing treks in Jaipur( Top 12 Treks in Jaipur) and Maila Bagh is a new addition to this list.

Maila Bagh is the first trek that I did in the year 2023 in the month of January and for that, I came across a few friends from Instagram and Youtube who are also interested in this trek.

We all gather at Papad Ke Hanumanji Temple on Sunday early morning and we started our trek journey around 6:30 as we don't want to miss the morning sunrise. As it was the winter season it is still dark and cold so we are a bit scared also entering the jungle. But as we are a group of friends it helps us in sticking to our plans and keeps moving forward.

The initial trail is very easy for a kilometer but as we move forward we came across a rocky patch and an abandoned dam which is the highlight of the trek path to remember. Due to the winter season, there is no water in the dam so the path is clearly visible. We did a little hike to cross the dam and found our trail which lead us to the dense forest.

As we kept moving we came across one more Hanumanji Temple made up of stones and the marking on the stones helped us find our trek route in the forest.

After that temple, the path is clearly visible and we continued our trek journey, it takes us through lush green meadows and rocky terrain which is a delight to see. After covering 2 km the bushes in the trail becomes dense which diminishes the visibility of the trek path.

As we all got tired after covering more than 3 km, we took a halt and had our refreshments to energize ourselves to continue our trek journey.

And finally, after covering more than 4 kilometers we reached our destination the majestic Maila Bagh.
It is surrounded by a concrete wall which we crossed to enter the premises.

Maila Bagh felt like a beautiful farmhouse with a large open ground surrounded by Aravalli hills and ruins of haveli which is now completely abandoned. It is not well maintained but still, it is a perfect place for nature lovers and trek enthusiasts to have a pleasant time and enjoy a short picnic.

After admiring the beauty of Maila Bagh we entered the abandoned Haveli and reached to the top from where the view looked absolutely stunning. So we had our moment thereby having a cup of team and little snacks.

In return, we took a different trail from Maila Bagh for which you can refer to the route map.

3. Try to wear a good pair of trekking shoes with a good grip as the trail is steep and has stones.
