The trail is about 2 kilometers one way, and it takes around 1-2 Hours to complete, depending on your pace and how often you stop for breaks or photos.

What is the Trek Route?

The Craft Village Kunda (also known as Amer Craft Village) is a potters’ and artisans’ settlement near Amer in Jaipur, developed to preserve and promote traditional Rajasthani crafts.

The village lies in Kunda, Amer, along the Jaipur–Delhi Highway, and it is from here that this hidden trek begins.

There are two ways to start the trek:

From inside the village: This is the easier route, with clearly marked stairs that lead directly to the top of the Shiva Temple.

From the Jaipur–Delhi Highway: This route begins from the main road beside a small dargah. From here, stairs take you a short distance upward, after which the adventurous trail starts. This path winds its way through the natural terrain and eventually leads you to the top of the Shiva Temple.

How Much Time Will It Take?

The Craft Village Trek in Jaipur is a short and refreshing trail that will take up only a few hours to complete. On average, it takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete the trek, including both ascent and descent. 

The time may vary slightly depending on the route you choose and your pace. The village route with stairs is quicker and easier, while the highway route with the adventurous trail can take a little longer.

Either way, it’s a manageable trek suitable for beginners as well. Starting early in the morning is recommended so you can enjoy the trek at a relaxed pace and still have the rest of the day to explore Jaipur.

The Craft Village Trek is not a very difficult trail, but it’s full of small surprises along the way. Best Time To Visit the Trek?

The ideal time for the Craft Village Trek in Jaipur is between October and March.

Winter (Oct–Feb): Pleasant weather, cool breeze, and clear skies make trekking enjoyable. Mornings are crisp and perfect for long walks.

Spring (Mar): Still good, though afternoons start to get warmer.

Summer (Apr–June): Not recommended, as Jaipur’s heat can be intense and draining.

Monsoon (July–Sept): The greenery is refreshing, but trails can get slippery.

If you want to make the most of your trek, start early in the morning to catch the soft golden light and avoid the midday sun.
